My design journey began working on well known brands such as MTN, Sun International, Gautrain, Pick n Pay and BMW at a marketing & advertising agency focussed on building brands ‘in a digital world through a channel-agnostic approach’.

I transitioned into a Multimedia Designer role in my next career move, and continued to build my experience and added Coca Cola, Vovo Telo and Investec to my repertoire while learning what it was like to work autonomously and collaboratively when being the sole Digital Designer.

I accepted my next challenge in a move where I grew in experience as the Senior Digital Designer for the Old Mutual Banking app, designed and Illustrated a mood and spend tracking app for Alexander Forbes, and created all the elements for the launch of a messenger app, including it’s website and animated video and illustrations, to mention a few highlights.

After 5 solid years it was time to continue my growth trajectory and I honed my craft as the Senior Product Designer for Tencent Africa’s portfolio of products. The world of UX came into play and I learnt about the beautiful synergy between UI and UX where my responsibilities included conceptualising, wireframing, prototyping, designing and sometimes qualitative research. I was also the sole UX Designer for the SA WeChat Wallet.
